Local MP praises new North Devon business

April 8, 2014 3:15 PM

Attending an event to thank the local companies involved in the project Nick Harvey MP for North Devon said, "I was delighted that the Heddon's Gate Hotel has reopened after an extensive eight month renovation.

"This quiet getaway is tucked away in rural north Devon and new owners Mark and Pat have put their heart and souls into this business.

"The transformation is quite remarkable.

"As well as a complete makeover, including a new roof, a key innovation is the installation of a biomass boiler bringing sustainable energy to the hotel.

"I am also delighted that as a pet owner the hotel is dog friendly.

"The restoration of Heddon's gate is exactly the sort of entrepreneurial spirit that is vital for the north Devon tourist industry and I wish them well.

New owners Mark and Pat said "The locals have been wonderful as have the local tradesman - This event is mainly to thank all those who have worked on the restoration."
