Do you have what it takes to support your local community?

Have you thought about improving the community you live in and influencing decisions in your area?
If so, you may want to consider becoming a Devon County Councilor.

The next full elections for the County Council will take place in May 2025, however there may be by-elections at any time.

What's Involved?

Please follow the link below to the Devon County Councils guide to becoming a County Councillor

In order to be considered, you will need to be approved as a Liberal Democrat candidate.

You will need to fill in the forms and then be interviewed by a small panel.

Should more than one person decide to stand in a division, then members within a local party Branch (essentially smaller parts of the local party that cover certain areas across the constituency) will choose.

Liberal Democrats are representative of the party and are expected to contribute 10% of their basic allowance to local party funds.

There are 8 divisions in the Tiverton & Honiton Constituency. These include:

  • Axminster

  • Cullompton & Bradninch

  • Feniton & Honiton

  • Seaton & Colyton

  • Tiverton East

  • Tiverton West

  • Whimple & The Blackdowns

  • Willand & Uffculme
